RDFF is here 24/7, 365 days of the year to respond to your emergency. When a loss occurs it is often unclear to a client what steps are needed to mediate the situation. At RDFF the plan involves the following steps: dealing with the emergency, dealing with damaged contents, and dealing with the smoke and odor damage.
EMERGENCY
When a fire occurs, the first step is to assess any structural damage that may pose a risk to the occupants. The next step is to stabilize the site which may include boarding up the site for security, and or temporary repairs to the site. Debris removal occurs at this time as well.
Once an assessment of the damage has been completed, our qualified technicians certified in smoke and soot damage engage in recovery actions customized to your specific needs, to restore your property and contents to pre-damaged conditions.
CONTENTS
Often contents will be removed at this point to protect them from further contamination. Off site cleaning and restoration will occur. Often contents will be placed into storage until they can be returned pending the repair and restoration of the structure damage.
SMOKE / ODOR
RDFF uses three methods to treat contents:
Removal of the source.
Sealing off the source.
Counteracting the odor causing molecules using various procedures and /or chemicals.
RESTORATION
The general goal here is to restore the structure back to a pre-damaged state with accepted industry techniques and current materials.
